Meet Ozzy, a 9 week old Boston Terrier puppy and the newest member of the Baggett family. We had a time trying to get little Ozzy to sit still for a few photos. Like any puppy Ozzy was so curious about his new surroundings and was trying to eat everything in sight.

Ozzy loved it when his mama scratched his back.

This weekend was filled with lots of laughs, love, and good times shared with friends. Friday after work I met my girls up at the new Wine Loft for a glass of wine and appetizers. Then it was off to Po' Boys to meet the hubby and friends for dinner. Saturday was opening day at Meyers Park for little league baseball, then we headed to the FSU baseball game. As for Sunday we will do the usual; grocery shop, clean, and relax. I am so happy it is a gorgeous day today because I am meeting Cody and Bobbie to take pictures of the newest member of their family! I will post those pics later tonight!

Well that was the weekend wrap up! Oh and congrats to Liz and Will! I love you both so much!

This past weekend was a low key weekend for me. After recovering from a nasty head cold I was tired of being cooped up in the house. So the hubby and I set off to go fishing at sunset and I of course brought my camera with me because I was itching to take some photos. It was nice to be out of the house spending quality time with my working man! Here are just a few of the photos I took along the way.

Its the Poo of course, patiently waiting for her Daddy to get home from work! As you can see she got quite the hair cut a few weeks ago! Lets just say her Daddy dropped her off with a full body of hair...and when I picked her up she was just ears!

Total Makeover

We all have it, that one room that drives us nuts. Well actually for me it is two rooms. My hubby and I bought our first home together back in September and for the most part the house is looking pretty good. Except...and there is always an except...for this room...oh and this room. My Mom calls her "except room" the BOMB room...and I have slowly started to use this term more and more for the two rooms I have been neglecting. When we first bought our house we I was so excited that it had four bedrooms (three for me...and one for B). That was our compromise. I tried to help get his "Man Cave"..."Office" or whatever you want to call it organized. All in all, I think he just wanted a place to hang all of his baseball stuff. The room drove me ~~nuts~~, ~~crazy~~, ~~mad~~, insane! (Wait...those all mean the same thing) But you get the point, it just didn't look good, feel good, and it just didn't flow with the rest of the house!

So, after our weekend plans got canceled I decided that this was the weekend I was going to tackle the "Man Cave"..."Office" or whatever it is. I of course first asked for permission to touch the room; and the only thing my husband requested is that some of the baseball stuff stayed.

Enjoy the newly, totally made over relaxing office!

This door is going to be my new bulletin board for my photos, but first I need to cover it with fabric.

Oh...and I can't forget about the hubby's baseball stuff!

I found these old lenses at GoodWill. I just love them!

And the best part of the whole room is my new chair from TJ Maxx!!! Gorgeous...I KNOW!

A dear friend sent me this scripture and it really speaks to my heart.

"If God hadn't been there for me, I never would have made it. The minute I said, "I'm slipping, I'm falling", your love, God, took hold and held me fast. When I was upset and beside myself, you calmed me down and cheered me up."
Psalm 94:17-19

Whenever I find myself going through a hard time or situation I know I can always turn my heart to the Lord for help and advice. He always listens, and he always gives me encouragement through his Word.

And sometimes it’s not me who is going through a hard time or situation, but it is others whose world seems to be falling apart. You can't fix other peoples problems, only God can do that. Time and again I try to fix what I can for others, but I quickly realize it is out of my hands! How blessed are we that we have someone we can always turn to no matter how big or small, who will always listen, never judge, always forgives, and always accepts! Thank you God for all that you do for those who Believe...and for those who are still lost! I am so Blessed!

Colton McEachin

Colton McEachin is eight months old and a complete bundle of joy! Mom is smitten with his big blue eyes and sweet little face. Just learning to crawl the night before, Colton was very curious with his surroundings and didn’t want to sit still for very long. We had to wrap the shoot early due to it being so cold, but we will definitely meet again when it warms up a bit.

Mom would get a laugh out of him every time she would fake sneeze or cough.

Meet my best friend Whitney and her adorable dog Lily. Whitney and I have been best friends since the second grade and have a bond as strong as sisters. We both know how to cheer each other up and push each other’s buttons! But all in all she is my sister soul mate! Just thinking about her makes me smile and laugh uncontrollably.

Don’t you love to hear how people met?

Whitney met Ryan (who is also my husbands best friend) at our wedding, and they have been dating ever since! I just love this picture because it captures all of us together!

Below are a few photos Merri snapped of me on her cell phone capturing the flipside of this past weekend’s shoot with Rob. I am so glad I have a sense of humor because WOW do I look amateur ha! And it was a good thing I wore my gym clothes because during the railroad scene I was laying on the tracks with Rob to get the shots (so glad Merri didn't take a picture of that...sick!). Now its back to applying my wrinkle cream and vaseline from all of the weekend squinting!

This weekend I traveled to Orlando to visit friends and to meet Rob Zarrilli. After a night of lots of laughs, board games, and red wine, Merri and I headed downtown Saturday morning where I met Rob who is a model in Orlando. I must say I was very impressed with Rob right away because just like me he has a new found passion. Rob made it easy for me because he knew exactly what to do, and Merri was his personal stylist for the day. (By the way I must say that Merri needs to start her own blog about advice on fashion.) Four hours and 1,145 photos later we wrapped the day with our entourage watching! Thanks Liz and Kate for joining us!

candy, rain, and a project day!

I guess I wasn't joking when I said I would lay low this weekend. Saturday the sky decided to rain all day....and I mean all day! So the hubby and I decided to work on a rainy day project, and hang bead board paneling around the fireplace and entertainment center. With reese pieces (my favorite) on hand I also snapped photos of the raindrops that hit our sidewalk. Stay tunned for the final project!!! Now off for a run...wish me luck I'm going to try for two miles! Ahhh! Happy MLK Day!

So how are your New Years resolutions going? Mine are going pretty good so far. I have slacked off on the sugar, packed my lunch at least four days a week...and the coffee....well I can't function without it. But I have worked out the past three days in a row and I feel really good about it. They say it takes 2 weeks for the routine to set in and 4-6 weeks to start noticing results. My problem is that I want to see results now!!! I hate playing the waiting game. Tonight I did the boot camp at Titus Sports Academy and lets just say I probably wont be able to walk tomorrow!!! Gotta love the burn!

For me 2009 was the year of celebrations! From engagement parties, to bridal showers, to buying my first house and starting a new job. Every month in 2009 was a new celebration leading up to my wedding day which was the happiest day of my life. I will miss you 2009, but I look forward to the joys in 2010.

Its time for 2010 Resolutions: 1. Become closer to the Lord and his Word 2. Eat less sugar...drink less coffee 3. Run 4 days a week 4. Run a half marathon with Liz in the fall 5. I'm sure by now everyone has heard of Dave Ramsey. Last year for Christmas my husband received Dave Ramsey's book "Financial Peace". Within the first month of reading his book Brandon had me on a very strict budget. I must say at times I would get so frustrated being on this budget because I no longer had the freedom to spend my money on whatever I wanted (not needed). I never realized how much money I was spending on things that didn't matter at all. So now here we are, one year later and the debt snowball is gone! I am proud to say that we are now debt free!!! I recommend this book to anyone who wants to free themselves of debt. It takes a lot of discipline but the contentment in the end is worth it! "Live like no one else now... so that you can live like no one else later" ~Dave Ramsey~

Day after Christmas

Well it's the day after Christmas, the hubby is off to work and I am at the house cleaning up the mess. What a wonderful Christmas we had! B definitely spoiled me, and got me everything I need to pursue my photography. There is no better feeling in the world than to know you are supported 100%. That is just one reason out of the hundreds why I love my husband. Why is it that we don't like change? For the past 25 years my family tradition is to spend Christmas Eve with my Dad's side of the family. But this year my Grandma wasn't up for it so B and I spent it with his family. We went to dinner at Julies and then to the 7pm church service. Everything was wonderful and the change wasn't so bad. I just couldn't help but to miss my family. B gave me a big hug and told me "change is good and its time to start our own traditions" (he is always so positive which is another reason why I love him). I also volunteered myself to do the dessert for the Christmas dinner. Tip #1, always READ and FOLLOW the directions carefully. I made things difficult for myself when I grabbed the wrong ingredient for the dessert and drove around frantically to four stores Christmas Eve night just to find them all closed for the holiday. Thank goodness Mrs. Becky saved me when she dumped all of the missing ingredients into a baggy. Note to self: "Just because you look cute when you bake...doesn't mean its going to taste great". Christmas day was an early one. Wake up at 7am, shower, open presents, down two cups of coffee, play with the Poo, off to the In-Laws, breakfast, open presents, drink champagne punch (yummy), hugs, kisses, off to my Mothers, glass of wine, open presents, Yahtzee tournament (i came in second, the hubby was 1st place), few bites of a roast beef sandwich, off to the Grandparents, hugs, kisses, sing, dance, laugh, laugh, laugh, glass of wine, dinner, dessert, gift exchange, laugh, laugh, laugh, head home, unpack car, attempt to clean...didn't last long, bed!

I remember when I was little it seemed like forever until Christmas rolled around. And now, the year flies by and before I know its December. Christmas is my favorite time of the year! I love the smell of a real Christmas tree, I love the cold weather, I love the pumpkin spice coffee from Starbucks, I love sitting next to our fire pit and cooking smores, and I love gathering around my Grandma's dinning room table for more belly rolling laughs. This weekend's project was antiquing the furniture in our second guest bedroom. I didn't realize how much labor goes into a project like this. First we had to sand the finish off of everything, apply a coat of antique white paint, apply a second coat of antique white paint...and now we are waiting for everything to dry.

As a newlywed I am experimenting new recipes for my hubby. Lets just say this slowcooker is my lifesaver. What a wonderful invention!!! Pot Roast You will need 1pkg of McCormick Seasoning 3 lb rump roast 5 cups of fresh vegatables (carrots, celery, onions, and potatoes) 2 cups of water Directions 1. Place roast and vegetables in slow cooker 2. Mix Seasoning and water until blended and pour over roast and vegetables. 3. Cook for 8 hours on LOW or 4 hours on HIGH. For best results, do not remove cover during cooking...I find this hard to do!!!
